A VEGAN ADVENTURE WITH
SHANE & KIM

It's going to take forever to get downtown at this rate.
Doesn't matter when the sun is shining in the Forest City!

It may take a wee bit longer but picking up litter is just a part of who we are. We may call ourselves Earth Warriors, hopefully inspiring others. One bucket at a time!

We used to roll by and ignore. Seeing the trash over and over and choosing to do nothing, because it's not ours. This attitude did nothing for us!  We're grateful to have the trails at our door step. Newly paved and FREE to use at any time. How lucky are we!

So why clean up? It's not earth day.
The Thames River showcases stunning wildlife shows so we clean for the animals. The lack of respect for nature increases
during some promotions including the 'roll up the rim' craze.

If you dispose your cup properly. THANK YOU!
For others... They don't compost.

I know it's shocking that your Canadian coffee cup will not decompose back into our land.
Some cities & towns also don't recycle these. How crazy is that! Too many cups in the landfill.

The FAQ page on Tim's website stated
"Yes, the Tim Hortons cup can be recycled but it is not accepted for recycling everywhere at this time. We currently have programs in a number of our restaurants across Canada where we capture our paper cup (and other packaging) for recycling or composting. The number of locations where we offer in-store recycling continues to grow as we work with local waste management companies to expand our program. Please check your local Tim Hortons for a cup (and other packaging) recycling program. Also check your local residential recycling/composting program to see if paper coffee cups are an acceptable item."

Do you know anyone that has dropped off used one-time cups & lids to Tim Hortons?

We have a couple ideas.
  1. Change to compostable cups
  2.  Provide more incentive to bring in your own mug

“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.”

The Thames Valley Parkway in London has garbage bins but no recycling.
Why?

Let's go for a bike!

Word on the social networking sites is Burrito Boyz now gives complimentary guacamole when you omit cheese. This we had to taste!

Silly reason to give up eating burritos , I know, but it didn't make sense. We don't want cheese but please pay extra for avocado.

It was worth the bike ride! Bigger and better than before. 2 Bean & Avocado for $13 taxes included

THANK YOU Burrito Artist!
